SpotRival ("we", "us") provides a browser extension and web app that lets ecommerce sellers monitor publicly available competitor product pages for price and stock changes. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Your email address — used to sign you in (via a magic link) and to send you the alerts you ask for.
• The product URLs you choose to track — and the public data we read from those pages (title, price, availability) to power your alerts and price history.
• Basic account/billing status — your plan and subscription state, managed by our payment processor.

We do not collect browsing history. The extension only reads a page when you explicitly click "Watch this page" on it.

How we use it

• To run the monitoring you requested and notify you of changes by email and browser notification.
• To show you your monitors and their price history.
• To operate billing for paid plans.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or any purpose unrelated to providing SpotRival.

How data is collected by the public-page checks

To detect changes, our servers fetch the public product pages you track — the same pages and data any visitor can see. We do not bypass logins, paywalls, or access any private information.

Third parties

• Resend — sends your transactional and alert emails.
• Lemon Squeezy — processes payments for paid plans (we never see your full card details).
• Our hosting provider — runs the SpotRival servers and database.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your monitors and price history while your account is active. You can delete any monitor at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@spotrival.com and we will remove it.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sign-in uses short-lived magic links and session tokens; we never store passwords.
